Standon House Care Home is a family-owned care home which provides accommodation and personal care for up to 31 older people who may be living with dementia.
Fixfire® has provided the Fire Safety, Nurse Call and Access Control requirements at this Care Home since the late 80’s.
In April 2017 the home suffered an extensive fire which whilst detected at an early stage by the Fire Alarm system, caused serious damage and the entire home was closed down to allow for the necessary building works and refurbishment to take place.
Fixfire® completed the necessary reinstatement of the Life Safety Systems including:
Fire Alarm System. Installation of open-protocol system including networked multiloop ADVPLUS control and indicating equipment. Category L1 design with audibility levels based on ‘assisted evacuation’.
Installation of Fire Door Hold-back Devices to specified communal area doors.
Replacement and repair of the existing CareAlert600 Nurse Call System and installation of CareDoor™ monitored Access Control systems including CareEntri™ to the main entrances and CareXit™ to perimeter exit doors.
Repair and installation of Emergency Lighting throughout the home.
Fixfire® provides planned and reactive maintenance for the Fire Safety Systems and equipment.
