The Oaks Care home, as a part of Sandstone Care Group, is a luxury, purpose-built care home in Newtown, Powys, opened in January 2020. The Oaks Care Home comprises of 73 rooms spread across three floors of modern, purpose-built accommodation.
Fixfire® completed the turnkey Life Safety System installations for this purpose-built scheme including:
Fire Alarm System. Open-protocol system including ADV4 4 Loop control and indicating equipment with repeater panel at each upper floor level. Category L1 design with audibility levels based on ‘assisted evacuation’.
Fire Door Hold-back devices including electromagnetic Free-swing Door Closers to all bedroom and day room doors and wall mounting hold back devices to communal area corridor doors.
Nurse Call System. Ascom Telecare IP based nurse call system with Call Logging including CareComm™ intercom/access control to main entrance and combined CareDoor™ monitored access control systems to internal doors eg to stairs and CareXit™ with CareLock™ locking devices to perimeter exit doors.
Induction Loop systems to day rooms. Fire Fighting Equipment including Ultimex™ appliances and associated Fire Signage.
