Fixfire^® IMAFAlarm™ specialises in IMAF-funded interim Fire Alarm projects. As an IMAF supplier panel firm and BAFE-accredited contractor, you are supported end-to-end through the application process with clear guidance, helpful advice, detailed quotations, and compliant design and installation delivered in accordance with BS 5839-1:2025.

Fixfire^® provides IMAFAlarm™ for eligible residential and student accommodation buildings. It can feel daunting but you can be assured of friendly, helpful service to support you through the grant approval process. IMAFAlarm™ delivers expert design, supply, install and commission of EN 54-approved wireless fire alarm systems to help you move away from waking watch and towards more effective interim alarm arrangement with the installation cost funded via IMAF (subject to eligibility and approval).

Where buildings are awaiting remediation or completing fire safety improvements (for example, compartmentation works), an interim common alarm system can provide robust protection during that period. Fixfire^® also designs and installs permanent fire alarm systems where a full, final solution is required, and our compliance team will be glad to support you if this is relevant too.

How the process works (IMAF → Installation)

Who can apply?

You can apply as a private or social sector applicant for buildings that are located in England and are residential or student accommodation.

Applicants must be a Responsible Entity / Responsible Person, or an authorised representative.

Leaseholders or residents cannot apply directly and should contact the building owner or managing agent.

As an IMAF panel firm, Fixfire^® responds to applicant enquiries quickly, and support your questions throughout the process.
The process is transparent: detailed quotes aligned to programme benchmarks (with clear explanation where variances exist).
We work collaboratively with you and/or your managing agents, supporting clear communications to etc.
Work proactively with Fire & Rescue Service / regulators where possible at design stage to ensure the alarm is fit for purpose.
Deliver works under the fund in line with BS 5839-1:2025 and NFCC Guidance Version 4.

What is IMAF?

The IMAF, managed and delivered by Homes England, provides funding to install interim fire alarm systems in residential buildings. It is designed to help buildings move away from reliance on waking watch and towards more effective interim alarm arrangements
