Fixfire^® extended the fire alarm system to category L1. This involved installation of detectors in over 120 riser cupboards which contain distribution boards and are therefore deemed as areas of fire risk, as well as being over 1 square metre. Existing non-compliant zone charts in the main reception were replaced with clear and correctly orientated zone charts to allow site operatives and the Fire Brigade to quickly locate a fire in an emergency situation.
