Charter Academy is a state school for boys and girls aged from 2 to 11, located in Coventry. It is a one-and-a-half form entry primary school with approximately 350 children on roll including a nursery.

Project Scope

At this school the Fire Brigade requested an evacuation assistance facility for the central Hall, where there are multiple exits for evacuation.  Fixfire® configured a solution for this using Red and Green Beacons above each exit, and in the event of a fire the Beacons guide occupants of the Hall away from areas where fire and smoke may be present. As the Hall is used for sports, protective Cages were installed for the Beacons.

The site Fire Alarm system is covered under a planned maintenance agreement with Fixfire®.
