Volkswagen Group operate a 650,000 sq ft distribution centre in Dordon, which handles the distribution of all spare parts requirements for the UK market. The facility is operated by Unipart Logistics, a key stakeholder in the project.

Project Scope

The current fire alarm system, installed when the building was built, has reached the end of it's operational life. Fixfire® is providing a full Fire Alarm Upgrade, utilising the latest technologies in Fire Alarm Panels, self-testing high-level beam detection and strategic use of radio technology.

The new technologies installed - especially self-testing beam detection - mean that VW & Unipart can look forward to a low maintenance cutting edge Fire Alarm system to protect the building for many years.
